The Sprague Lab at MUSC

Improving Health, One Molecule at a Time

Rotation Student

I am currently a first-year PhD student at MUSC, and I spent the last year at the Mayo Clinic as a post-baccalaureate student. I completed my BS in Chemistry at Drexel University in 2024. My goal is to work at the intersection of chemistry, biology, and medicine as a (medicinal chemistry) physician-scientist. My long-term goal is to return to my community to use research as a conduit for change to address Indigenous healthcare inequities. My previous lab experiences have spanned (in no specific order): natural products, food safety technologies, agricultural research, plasma polymerization, coronavirus small molecule inhibitors, peptidomimetics as therapeutics, and mechanisms of liver cancer.
